Here are several reasons why you shouldn't wait until Fall to get a family portrait session!
The lighting is AMAZING
The amazing thing about Summer is that the sun is always shining — which means it's time for golden hour. Golden hour is the time around sunset when the lighting is perfect for portraits. It's my favorite time of day to shoot in, and I always recommend scheduling your shoot during that time! With the Summer sun comes plenty of chances for beautiful golden hour sessions
Won't get rained out
Here in the PNW, sunny weather can be rare to come by most days of the year... except during the Summer! It's much less likely for your session to land on a rainy day, which means a much lesser chance of having to reschedule. Take advantage of the good weather during this time to get your family session done!
Warm weather — perfect for dresses!
With the sun comes nice & warm weather, so you don't have to worry about bundling up. This is a perfect time to bust out those beautiful dresses (or to use my client closet, which is included in your session!)
Schedules are more open
Because school is out, and you're ahead of the holidays, it can be less hectic to schedule photoshoots during the Summer. Also, lots of families wait until the last minute in the Fall and Winter to schedule their session, so my weekends during that time can get filled up. You'll have more options for scheduling your session during the Summer.
